Overall, I liked it. It was more noir-ish than the trailer suggested and I just forgot how much I loved these characters. On the whole though I'm feeling sad about everything about how Veronica was pulled back into Neptune, about Weevil slipping back into his formal life.
But that is a noir element, not just the one I enjoy for characters I love. Speaking of characters I love I wish Weevil and Mac were with Veronica during the case.
Logan though gets to get out of this free (although his uniform was really too big for him, what happened there?) at the end he can walk away from Neptune. Veronica can't she's the one that stays because she couldn't walk away.
Also, I have to wonder why they chose Carrie Bishop (and not get Leighton Meister) I felt that was very OOC choice.
On the whole it felt like a pilot episode and now I'm expecting a series of episodes after this.
