Doctor Who - i was right! it's always like this!
Hmm... Am I the only one who sees the (what's coming to be known as) Unexpected Rose scene as something more than Doctor/Rose? Also, I really should stop blindly clicking on Doctor Who reviews, I keep seeing 'OMG it's going to be all about Rose season, our show is ruined!!!' reactions.
Which could be understandable but I think that reaction is, well, going overboard. We haven't seen anything yet and what we've seen was intriguing.
I've said before I'm a Rose fan, I love Nine/Rose but I can (and do) love Rose separate from the ship.
First off, my hope is that whatever is happening to Rose it has something to do with the Bad Wolf, because I need resolution to that like, yesterday people!
I've been so intrigued by that storyline and I want to know what it meant for Rose to still have 'Something of the Wolf' about her. Is this the consequence? Does she now have the ability to travel anywhere, anywhen? Can she even die? Or is this shifting thing something she can't control?
There was something ominous with the music and the way she looked. She did look tired, older but there was definitely something very ambiguous with her expression.
I don't think she's going to be the big bad but I've always stood by my theory that the Bad Wolf is NOT just a force of good. The Bad Wolf is a capricious being, in a way that reminds me of Galadriel with the ring or any fey creature.
Rose meeting Ten, is actually beside the point for me. I just want to know what's up with my girl Rose.
Especially since Ten and Donna are so much fun together. I loved that the first episode was Donna-centric. I loved the energetic vibe they have going on. I love how Donna can just basically push Ten around.
Also, I love the grand dad!
