And what sort time do you call this?
I think I'm finally getting over the Tenth Doctor and ready to start watching Eleven. I've soured on Ten pretty badly especially with the last two episodes of Season Four and I never quite recovered from that. I've always hated Ten's god complex and I hated how he took down Harriet Jones, the woman responsible for the Golden Age because of a fit. Almost everything that went wrong after I attribute to Ten meddling with fixed history.
Aside from that I hated how Donna's time with Ten ended and I hated Rose's ending even more. Rose was the point of view lens I started with in Doctor Who and seeing the end in Journey's End was really not something I wanted. I'm not a Doctor/Rose shipper (I'm more of Nine/Rose) and it's probably a big reason why I disliked the ending because Rose had no say in the matter. I prefer thinking of Rose as being the Doctor of Pete's World (like what happened in Turn Left), having her own adventures, moving on but always cherishing her time with the Doctor.
(Sidenote: I just have to add, I think there are two Roses during season 4 because a dimensional cannon/jumper thing can't really explain the Bad Wolf thing.
I mean if there's one parallel universe, why can't there be two? Why can't there be a divergence in Pete's World? Where one Rose developed the dimension cannon and the other Rose who didn't need one. I know its probably wishful thinking but it's become canon for me especially when the Rose in Partners in Crime and Turn Left seemed so different from Rose of Stolen Earth and Journey's End.)
Different story expectations, I suppose and that tripped me up but after Journey's End I found that I wasn't that excited about watching Doctor Who.
But finally I found myself watching the ending clip of End of Time, the one with Rose and I'm just... that's exactly how I wanted it to end. I loved seeing Rose and Jackie and their relationship and I loved, loved that it ended in a hopeful note with Rose looking forward to the future with the possibilities open up for her and I think because of that I can move on now.
So, I went about looking for Eleven things before actually diving in to watch the episodes. I admit, I was very lukewarm towards River Song at first because I really didn't like how she ended up and quite unfortunately, it was also the time where Ten suddenly had powers to snap open the TARDIS which left an even more bad taste in my mouth but after that, after seeing a few post on the awesomeness of River I found myself looking forward to more and then I saw this gif:

I. AM. SO. ONBOARD.
The way Eleven is leaning against the TARDIS doors, checking his watch with that hat and saying: 'Honey, I'm home.'
And then River checks her watch and says, indignantly: 'And what sort of time do you call this?' While things explode behind her? AWESOME. CAKE.
Also, SO. MARRIED.
So, yes, I shall start acquiring Elevent-y episodes because it looks fun and a good cure from Ten!

I'm actually quite sick now with a pounding headache and waiting on getting the next episode of Fringe and the Vampire Diaries. Download faster!

Eleven cures all Ten ills. I think it may be provable fact. :)

*nods* I'm sure the skience is sound. :D
I doubt I'll ever be able to settle on a favorite Doctor, the mythical "My Doctor" thing, but my current Favorite Doctors Ever are (in no particular order) Two, Eight and Eleven. The last time a New Who Doctor occupied one of those spots was when Nine was the only Doctor I knew. I just love Eleven so very, very much.

I was spoiled for Rose's appearance, and the spoiler made me want to beat my head against a wall. But then the actual appearance surprised me: It was lovely. It made me teary, when I thought I had grown completely emotionally inured to Rose. Too bad we had to rewind to pre-Doctor to find the Rose I once loved, but it made me happy all the same.
