Strange...
Jan. 4th, 2003 08:50 pmOkay, this is very strange, apparently Tolkien's manuscript of Beowulf has been found in a library accidentally by a Michael Drout an Assistant Professor of English at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. The thing that struck me was that the whole thing reads like the premise of Possession by A.S. Byatt. Where a scholar, Roland Michell discovers a book formerly owned by reknowned poet Randolph H. Ash, which serves as the catalyst into pushing Roland to discover the mysteries of the two unfinished letters found in Ash's book eventually leading him to team up with Maud Bailey.
