Apr. 6th, 2013 01:18 pmI have a love hate relationship with The Verge. I came in reading one feature and was hooked both by the design and the writing but eventually, I've grown to dislike some of its reporting and the people commenting in the site where eventually it'll just be another round of Apple iOS vs Android. And, without fail, whenever The Verge does a piece about women there will be a number of vile comments attached to it.
But I keep coming back because of the design.
Right now I'm currently stalking the Product Team blog responsible for creating The Verge and looking into another of Vox Media's project: Polygon, their game news site.
It's similar but design wise its a lot more tighter than The Verge. Unfortunately, I'm not much of a game person. I only play video games when I'm in the mood and that doesn't happen often. So I keep coming back to the site because its so visually pleasing.
Fortunately, they also have a section that documented the creation of Polygon and I'm scouring through the videos and just loving everything about it.
One thing I've noticed but a quick glance at the comments a few articles had but the comments there seemed a heck of a lot more polite and more thought out than The Verge comments.
