Rewatching Doctor Who [2005] series one brings out my full fannish love for the show. So, in caps, let me tell you of my love...

This is Rose Tyler , 19 year old shopgirl from London. She's bored of her life, doesn't know it yet and has a happy relationship with her boyfriend Mickey until she's almost killed by shop window dummies and an older man with closed cropped hair, big ears a Northern accent and a black leather jacket grabs her hand and pulls her in tearing run away from said killer dummies.

I just love this shot, she's so not a morning person, I love it! And the Doctor being mauled by a plastic arm is never not funny!

And this is the scene that made me fall in love for this show and the Doctor so hard:

Do you know like we were saying? About the Earth revolving? It's like when you were a kid. The first time they tell you the world's turning and you just can't quite believe it because everything looks like it's standing still. I can feel it.

[He takes her hand]

[He lets go of her hand]

That's who I am. Now, forget me, Rose Tyler.

And Here's Mickey, Hey Mickey! Mickey Smith, Rose's nice long suffering boyfriend has the best ark in the enteire first and second series. Good on yeah, Mickity-Mick!

The Doctor explains about the Auton transmitter, that's round, metallic and slapbang in the middle of London. Rose sees the London Eye behind the Doctor. Round, metallic and slapbang in the middle of London.

"What?" Asks the Doctor, seeing Rose's expression.

Rose just nods to the London Eye.

After a few more tunrs of 'What? What is it?" the Doctor turns and finally sees it and gets this big, infectious grin that *never* fails to make me smile and says, "Fantastic!"

Shop window bride dummies attack London! (And possibly breast implants too) And Rose rescues the day with I think the most underrated OTP ever, Rose and Axe! Pfft with the guns, Rose rules with an axe! Go Rose/Axe!

Using her latent gymnastic skills, Rose swings on a chain and knocks the Anti-Plastic into the Nestene consciousness and as soon as she swings back, the Doctor catches her and grins at her, looks down at the angry, dying thing and says in this tone that I love: "We're in trouble now."

They grin at each other.

Oh, shut-up you know I OTP them like mad.
