Life 1x10 - Dig a Hole, Fill it Up part I

grimorieThis was a lighter episode but the plot developments keep on swinging.
...it occurs to me since watching How I Met Your Mother, I cannot stop saying awesom
Reese didn't have much to do but her expressions kill me and she did smile a lot more, even more than she did in 'What They Saw'. I love how comfortable Crews and Reese are now. I love the way they're so in synch and now Reese is playing along to the 'She's shy' routine.
There are a lot of quotables in this episode but I'll get into that when I see part II, obviously part II is going to be a lot more darker than the first part (or maybe not, this show has a way of surprising me).
The one thing I did appreciate is hearing Charlie finally say that the murdered family were his friends, a lot people seemed to have forgotten that the Seybolt family were a part of his life and he'd want revenge not only for being put in prison for 12 years but because someone murdered people Charlie loved.
There were some parallels to Charlie and the Zen Master but I think there were also parallels to Reese as well, the way people kept pointing out that what he did after hours was very dark and hurtful to himself. Something we see Reese do.
'No, I have never seen a party like that.' - Hah. Something tells me you lie Detective Reese. Heck, for a second there you looked like a kid in a candy store. But for some reason I don't think Reese acted out during her younger, pre-drug days. I think if she'd gone to a party like this it was during her undercover, junkie days.
I could be wrong though.
Also? Reese banging her head against the car chair as Charlie went on and on about being a bunny and a whale? AWESOME.
Do you know what would make an awesome crossover? Burn Notice and Life. Michael Westen with his car, Charlie with his. Reese with perpetually rolling her eyes and seriously not wanting to know what illegal, legal thing Westen and crew are doing but being reluctantly pulled in. Fiona making her remarks and being awesome, Fiona and Charlie bonding while Michael and Reese look on in horror.
For some reason though, I can only see this happening in LA. I know Michael's not allowed to leave Miami but I really can't see Reese in Miami. Maybe it's the jacket.
