After four years of waiting I finally see Olivia (or an Olivia) use her cortexiphan powers and kill someone with her brain!

Plus Olivia figuring out Nina is not her Nina! Then aiming a gun after she has a seizure and shooting Jones! Woooo!

But man, Peter stop breaking Olivias! Yes, all Olivias! STOP IT! Also, seems true to form it will become about Peter's SPESHULNESS and soul mate bond with Olivias. Can't Olivias have other One True Loves than Peter?

And all because Peter and Olivia will parent future bald Observers?

Maybe on re-watch I'll find this palatable. Maybe.

Hee! That's as good an explanation as I've heard! Maybe that's why the Observers are so keeny interested in things happening the way they originally did. If Peter doesn't live, the Observer's timeline is forever altered.

I love this! (And your post made me giggle. :-))

And it was totally, completely AWESOME!

Plus Olivia figuring out Nina is not her Nina! Then aiming a gun after she has a seizure and shooting Jones! Woooo!

Well, this Olivia is not shy with her gun, exactly. Her bodycount this season? Higher than in some thoughtless cop shows, methinks. (I don't disapprove; it's just noticeable.)

Also, seems true to form it will become about Peter's SPESHULNESS and soul mate bond with Olivias.

My annoyance, let me show you it. What's wrong with the showrunners? Do they not understand that this is the Olivia Dunham Show?

Part of that is that I hate bait-and-switches: If the showrunners ever wanted Fringe to be The Peter Bishop Show, they should have established that in Season One and then given him some solid characterisation, backstory, and I guess a front-story too, instead of using him as the peter ex machina and charming rogue and the mad scientists' beautiful daughter

I would have stopped watching, of course. Needless to say I loved Olivia and actually like all of the above tropes. But them's the breaks; now they can't go back.

...and I still have hope. Surely they will realise this is sci-fi, not some Tragic Tearjerker Romance Of Destiny and Desperate Women?
