Best movie experiences in 2013
Gravity - It's such a visceral experience, I've never been more terrified of space free fall than after watching this movie.
Fast and Furious 6
Pacific Rim - This is a movie I feel like you either love or you hate, I came into the movie already loving the mecha robots and I just fell in love with it even more. I loved Mako and Stacker and Raleigh's puppy dog love for Mako.
Iron Man 3 - This was hands down a lot better than I expected it would be.
Thor 2: The Dark World - I really enjoyed this movie. And of course Jane Foster! Didn't appreciate the fridging tho.
World War Z - OMG just when I thought I was done with Zombie movies this came along and it is fantastic!
Movie experiences I didn't hate in 2013
Man of Steel (except for that nitpick about he collateral damage...)
Which TV shows did you start watching in 2013?
Orphan Black
The Blechtley Circle
Sleepy Hollow
Agents of SHIELD
The Originals
The Witches of East End
Brooklyn Nine Nine
Which TV shows did you let go of in 2013?
Once Upon a Time -- or well on the way there.
Which TV shows did you mean to get into but didn't in 2013? Why?
Nikita - I was derailed by one character I didn't like but I'll get back on that.
Continuum - somehow it hasn't held my interest yet but I know it gets interesting so I'll keep trying.
Beauty and the Beast - I keep meaning to and I've enjoyed what I've seen except some of the plot stuff gets boring.
Arrow -- Season 1 derailed me but from all reports it does seem to get better so I'll keep trying.
Which TV shows do you intend on checking out in 2014?
All the above plus Justified, I'm trying to get that back into the rotation. Maybe Lost Girl?
Which TV show impressed you least in 2013?
Once Upon a Time - This season was a disappointment and what a way to squander an interesting situation between Snow and Regina and do absolutely nothing about it. Also do absolutely nothing about Snow's inner darkness, and I can't say enough how uninterested I am about Rumple and his whole family. His side of the family I mean.
Agents of SHIELD - It's just... I had my expectations about the show and it just didn't meet them.
Which TV show did you enjoy the most in 2013?
Person of Interest - I've griped about the Stupid Thing the writers did and the other thing but overall I've enjoyed the show when its not sending me to spasms of anger (mainly due to the Stupid Thing and inability to write a consistent Shaw character).
Sleepy Hollow - It's just so fun!
Brooklyn Nine Nine - Again, the fun!
Shows I rewatched during 2013
Leverage - I miss it!
Fairly Legal - Season 1, especially early season 1 was so good!
Favorite TV Protagonists in 2013
Sarah Manning
Abbie Mills
Sameen Shaw
Alicia Florrick
Susan Grey
Joanna Beauchamp
...Huh so my favorite protagonists have something in common, almost all of them are capable of morally gray actions.
