I just finished watching the episode and I'm just oh my god. I loved it, I loved every single moment of it. I loved that it was *Joan* who noticed Moriarty's anger when her former right hand guy made Kate beg for her mother.
I loved all the complications that brings to Moriarty's character because she made sure Kate was safe after she gave birth, she wasn't much of a mother but she still made sure Kate was safe and away from the life she has.
I love that she had Kate 're-situated', I love that Moriarty plans to visit Kate's real father with some mortal harm after putting her daughter in danger.
And I am so, so, so fascinated with Kate herself, who has a mother like Moriarty, who seems to love using practical and 'cutthroat' means to win at games.
On other things: I do love that Bell wasn't forgotten and that seems to be a continuing arc, I love that Sherlock's actions continue to haunt the show.
I love Moriarty's seeming fascination for Joan, because she just can't figure out the puzzle of Joan but Moriarty seems such an easy read to Joan, which must be so frustrating. I kind of ship it and I don't... like in fiction I do ship it but in canon I find her fascination more interesting.
I just really, really love this show when it adds so many rich complications and layers. I don't have anything more to say but that.... also that I think maybe Moriarty's mentor will come into play.
Good one show!
