Teen Wolf 3B
Jan. 18th, 2014 10:02 pmI'm back and feeling a little better, I've been busy with RL work too and other projects but I'm thankful for all the comments in my previous post.

You know... I was getting really concerned about Teen Wolf, especially since it seemed like it was going the Supernatural route of killing all the women and persons of color in the show.
So I'm tentatively impressed that they seem to be listening to the criticisms during the first half of season 3 and are course correcting.
First, I love Kira and her dad (who seems hell bent on embarrassing her which I find eternally amusing!). And the woman during the first episode of season 3 returned, retconned that Deucalean (sp?) let her live and is now working for him because a 'girl's got to eat' from the get go I love her already.
Then there's the Were Coyote girl, who I expect to be back again!
Second, LYDIA! Is more integrated in the group finally! I continue to love her relationship with Stiles and the way they are with each other.
Third. I really love that they're continuing their arc that there will be consequences to Scott, Stiles, and Allison's actions. I like that they're all communicating with each other. I also love that Melissa gave Scott the 'Be your own anchor' speech and I love how much in tune she is about Scott's limits. I also love the advice that Scott will still fall in love with someone else. I really like it, and I really like that the show is genuine about it (for now) and I'm already shipping Kira and Scott together.
Lydia and Allison being friends and supportive of each other? AWESOME.
Also, I love that Kate might be returning! Woooo!
Plus, the scenes were genuinely terrifying!
There are other things but these are the moments I loved. I hope the showrunners really took the criticisms to heart about their race and misogyny issues because I would like to continue loving this show.

Date: 2014-01-20 02:43 am (UTC)Yeah, I wasn't sure about Lydia in the trap scene, but I was encouraged that's she's been 'read in' with all what's going on in the group. They really need her voice of reason there.
(I'm not sure about Isaac being there, he felt kind of superfluous in the episodes we've seen him in.)
Now if they can bring Danny in...
