First, I think I might have to stop watching the sneak previews, I felt myself mentally checkout whenever I watch a scene I've already seen because of the previews.

Second:

L O L.

I knew, I *knew* it was going to be John who cracks, I had my suspicions because he looked rough in the previews and its been established John saving lives, finding a purpose is what keeps him from falling back into the bottle.

But oh, it was so, so satisfying on Shaw's end of things. I've been worried about Shaw's new job, even if I told myself that there is a third thing (I was spoiled for that) and how ill fitting it was for her. Even though I tried to keep an open mind, the worry crept in. And now that its revealed that Shaw is going to work the criminal angle, her day job now looks like a really good cover.

Also, again confirming that she might be vocal in her grumbling and more visibly displeased Shaw *is* a team player. I love the moment when Shaw knocked John out because he was really being stupid in his approach about things.

I also love Shaw's constant exasperation about John's flashiness (remember when Harold called John subtle? L O L. Grenade launchers, John).

Root calling them Mayhem Twins, I love it. Cementing their sibling-ness in canon, although to be fair to Shaw, Root she wasn't even doing a lot of mayhem until John pushed her into it.

Harold continues to be reticent about being part of the Team, and I love the moment when Root confronts Harold. The tables have reversed for them but the way Root was arguing about the Machine doing all this for a reason seemed a little desperate. She was angry at Harold but it also seemed like she was projecting.

The moment Harold deciphered the Machine's code was amazing as well as the discover of the new sanctuary.

The premiere was all about setting up the pieces back up together again and I'm loving it so far. Also, that lovely little moment when John stopped before he placed his things on the table and the look between Fusco and John. I'm so glad Carter is still a legacy that haunts everyone. Bring it on, Season 4!

Additional thoughts: Greer disbanded Decima technologies, effectively making him the most powerful man in the world right now, and yes, New Mysterious Operator doesn't work for Decima because there is *no* Decima.

Samaritan has all the resources in the world right now, and the Machine is setting up all her set pieces, covering all its bases from Law Enforcement to the Criminal underworld (Shaw). We still don't know what Root's doing but she seem to flit around society dinners... She remains a mystery unless the Machine wants her free to go everywhere.
