Slow counting in Philippines
May. 14th, 2004 12:39 pmSince the Supreme Court judged the funds used to acquire the computers ( for the Computerized Elections despite the fact that it was already paid for) as anomalous we are now suffering through a very slow count of the ballots.
Personally, I don't care if its anomalous or whatever the best way to approach it is to use it not discard it. It's just going to waste in storage, that's not being resourceful.
Look at the NAIA-3! It's a grat new airport but are we using it? No! Because the contract was deemed anomalous and now the state of the art Airport is just sitting there like a big ol' pile of nothing.
On the other hand, it seems most Filipinos have woken up and voted for GMA, so, yay! I don't care about the naysayers I really think she's a good president and given that she now has officially has mandate she can roll up her sleeves and work. That is if the opposition will shut the hell up and think of the country first rather than their egos.
Another yay for General Tagarib(?) the Filipino-American General who blew the whistle on the ongoing abuse of iraqi prisoners.
The Philppines need more people like you... actually, the whole world does.
