It had its moments, but I have to confess that I found the episode slow.

- I liked the Lois and Oliver scenes, it was refreshing to have Lois and Oliver break-up that's free of angst but genuine emotion. It was a refreshing change from Lana and Clark's multiple break-ups.

- I think this is going to be part of the unpopular opinion thing but I'm sort of... I sort of dislike the way Chloe becomes the proto-JLA's 'Oracle' it was like she was stepping on the toes of Barbara's legacy.

- I like that Clark, Lois and Chloe scene, Clark's uncomfortable, awkward stance felt perfect. He's not in love yet and he's not even close to a crush but something's developing. I like the idea that Clark/Lois will happen *sometime* after Smallville but I like hints as long as they're not anvilly.

- Oliver is still hot but his lecturing to Clark seems to be overboard at times.

- Lex was smart and evil and at the end was sort of emo when he realized his dad wants to be with Clark more than he wanted to be with Lex. But still, he's really gone the slippery slope to evil.

I've also started to watch Heroes and well,  in the first scene , on the first ep it felt like Smallville was failing in comparison. There was this breathetaking scene, where the music swells and Peter was on the ledge of a roof and begins to fall and it *felt* so epic. It felt like the show got that sometimes having powers is *fun* and wonderful and that's the feeling that's missing in Smallville.
