grimorieI again, ventured and watched the STAR WORLD broadcast of Life featuring Let Her Go. Seriously. Life without its original music makes me want to cry.
The person who picked the alternative music fails at Life. Literally. The music is so low key and it's just... the awesome scenes are not as awesome because of the music change. I eeded a pick me up after this and fortunately, the universe was kind enough to provide one... in the form of the hotness of one Damian Lewis.
These pictures were taken, if I'm not mistaken from the recent Sundance Festival. And, guh, Damian Lewis is a fine, fine man.
Don't you just... the smile with a hint of devilish and the hair and the shirt and the-- Damian, how are you so HOT?
Somehow, Damian with his wedding ring only makes him hotter. I swear, I'm not channeling Dani Reese... I think.
Himself sitting there with wallpaper nearly as ginger as his hair with the arms and the cross leg and the... I don't think I may be able to finish a sentence looking at him like this.
The casual way he leans against that chair and the fireplace... Charlie should wear more jeans is all I'm sayin'...
Guh. I was never partial to redheads but Damian Lewis is making me change my mind and, again, guh. And he's looking the way Charlie looks when...

Gossip Girl - Oh, guys this show is just so pretty! And you really have to hand it to Josh Schwartz, he knows his teen dramas and New York is so PRETTY! I didn't think I'd love this show but I did and ended up mainlining all the episodes! I love how it turns everything around. I thought I'd hate Blair but I ended up loving her as much as I love Serena and Chuck! Chuck Bass who I also thought I'd hate because he was smug, arrogant, a date rapist all qualities he shares with one Owen Harper and somehow I ended up loving him too!
I don't know why! He's precisely the character I'd love to hate, especially with his smirk but somehow the actor manages to sell it to me and there's something about his moral bankruptcy that's so fun to watch. And guys! Blair and Chuck might possibly be my OTP in this show, even after Dan and Serena!
I'm glad they're actively avoiding repeating all the mistakes they've made with Marissa's character by Serena learning from her mistakes and actually cleaning-up, I'm also glad that they didn't stretch the rivalry between Serena and Blair.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles- I've finally caught up with this show, except for the recent episode and Heavy Metal and wow, I really like it. It always confused me why fanboys were all: LOL! Arnie! And only to watch the movies and find OMG, it's about SARAH 'BADASS' CONNOR! I mean, seriously, what? How can you all not mention Linda Hamilton and be all about the Arniebot?
Uh, yeah, that was a tangent, moving on.
It took me a while to get used to Lena Headley but now I love her and the creator too (Josh Friedman) and Summer Glau is awesome as Cameron, John is okay but there were times that my dislike of the actor gets in the way of my liking the Great John Connor and I kinda love the hints we're getting that Future!John is a bit, okay, a lot of an asshole.

Okay, y'know, here's the thing every time I hear 'Reese' I immediately think about Dani Reese and now you have a character who has the same initials as Dani and you just know my mind will go places! Weird, crossover places which I may or may not have talked about with a friend where The Connors end up running into Det. Dani Reese and Sarah figures out that she's related (first cousins, second cousins) to the Reese boys. And in the future Dani and Charlie still somehow managed to survive judgment day and keep a small scrappy band of survivors alive. They don't mean to be heroes, they never mean to be heroes but somehow it just... sort of ends up that way. It's like to Serve and Protect is instinct with them.
Twelve years of prison didn't burn it out of Charlie and years of addiction didn't burn it out of Reese.
Charlie would still be around to annoy the living daylights out of Reese so much so that sometimes she may contemplate chucking outside so the robots can eat him or something. Unfortunately, Reese would concede that when Charlie's focused, he's lethal and efficient. Reese would think about the old days and how much she missed it so much she would even miss her father, which says a lot.
They'll both lose people they love, they'll both, at one point or other think of just giving-up but they won't Charlie will annoy her back to living and Dani would kick some sense back into Charlie and they'll go on like that until the day one or both of them falls. Or the robots would drop dead or not exist and when or if all of these happens Charlie would pull out a fruit he'd been saving and offer it to Dani. And this time she'll probably take it.
And, uh, I think I should stop there. Yes, somehow, I made TSCC all about Life, I make everything about Life sooner or later. This is not news.

This is a repeated dream, that evolves over time, but the basic structure stays the same: it's a hot day, Dani is in her dress uniform and has to drive to some destination with Charlie, her father, and Charlie's homeless buddy - and then they get stuck in a traffic jam.
Give me a pairing and I will write you a sentence or two (possibly ficcish, possibly discussion-ish)
