I finally got around to acquiring a crossposting client. So, I'm just testing this out and see if it posts on both my LJ and my DW.


I just want to get this out of the way first: Anna Torv and Leonard Nimoy won Best Actress on Television and Best Guest Starring Role for Saturn Awards!

That is so fantastic! Both Fringe and Anna Torv really improved a lot once the second half of the season kicked off but it must be really great for Anna especially since (it seemed) there was a lot of critcism about her acting during the first few episodes. And now she's gone and snagged herself a Best Actress award. An award I felt she truly earned especially in this season!

There are many reasons to love Olivia Dunham: her sensible shoes, her ability to count cards, her geeky nerdiness as evidenced by her nighttime reading and knowledge of both versions of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. However, what really impresses me the most is her general ability to keep her shit together and her priorities in order despite the insanity that is her life. This is a woman who will drink pureed flatworms sans fruit flavoring if it means getting results. She gets shit done. No matter how many times her world gets flipped upside down, Olivia always seems to adapt and push forward through sheer determination and grit. The fact that she does it even though it's hard and it scares the crap out of her is just another reason why Olivia Dunham Is Better Than You.

I've finally managed to watch a few more episodes of The Vampire Diaries. I love the flashbacks in this show and something happens almost every episode doesn't it? I'm especially fascinated with the world this story inhabit and Nina Dobrev started out with what I thought as a very limited range then I saw her play Katherine during the season finale and I was hooked. Watching Katherine appear for the 'first time' in the show was fascinating.

I also find myself liking Alaric a lot and wished there was more Aunt Jenna and less of Jeremy. Plus, I concur with everyone in Fandom and say Bonnie is an awesome witch goddess!

Elena does a good job walking the fine line between the two brothers. I like that she does have a line. She feels a friendship with Damon but loves Stefan and she is very clear on that and doesn't waver. And yet... I kind of ship Stefan/Bonnie too! But man, did they have to kill of Gina Torres so soon???

I may find Damon attractive but killing Gina Torres? Not. On. No. Nyet.
